During this last edition of the Intercultural Seminars, our participants could enjoy 4 sessions of robotics workshop.
The aim of the workshop was to teach new technologies, robotics, electronics and software while comparing the work with the space-related investigations. Our young participants could understand the importance of launching a rover to an other planet in order to investigate the new surroundings. Hence, each team had faced the same connectivity problems as the real engineers have and also the issues related with programming a path for an unknown terrain.
Marc Feliu Celma is a web and multimedia developer highly involved in organising new technologies conferences and symposiums. With his experience, he designed a workshop using cutting edge technologies: GoPiGo robotics kit and raspberry-pi computers. During the programm, he taught the youngsters how to solve connectivity problems, how to assembly a robot, how to get familiar with the sensors and actuators informations and how to pre-program a path for an unknown circuit (with only having a simple map).
In the following pictures, you can see how all the participants enjoyed the sessions. We would also appreciate the hospitality of the SokoTech team for ceding their space for the occasion.
